Single Status Update - March 2009

The moderation process finished in early February, resulting in a delay to the overall timetable.  We are not sure of the new timetable as yet, but expect the process to be completed very soon.

We are concerned about the outcomes of the recent cases that have been decided at the court of appeal regarding backpay, protection and equal pay issues - and how this might affect our own negotiations with the employer going forward.

The branch feels the process so far has been positive, and that we have worked well with management during the moderation process.  We are hoping for a prompt resolution to achieving single status.
